Female genital
surgery, or Labiaplasty, has been gaining in popularity and requests for this
procedure have been increasing in our practice.
We are happy to report that we are now providing this service.
Our patients have been interested in
reducing excessive tissues in the genital area due to embarrassment, discomfort
in clothing, desire for more symmetric appearance, etc.
This surgery involves reduction of
the tissues where necessary, using surgical techniques.
Our office also offers ThermiVa, a
nonsurgical series of treatments using Radiofrequency. The treatment stimulates the tissues to
become more youthful, with better moisture and blood supply. This can aid in sexual function, as well as
help with stress urinary incontinence.
It can also reduce to some degree some of the excess external tissue and
provide some tightening.
Everyone needs to have diversions from their schedules, especially a busy professional such as Dr. Sykes. Having been raised in a home filled with lots of artistic and musical talent, it's no wonder that she still immerses herself in these favorite pastimes.
Her artistic talent was part of what drew her into the specialty of plastic surgery. She is an accomplished artist and displays some of her paintings and needlecraft in the office.
As a musician, she plays several instruments and sings in a band alongside her husband.
